Kinda crazy!

Ryan and Connor do a pretty good job of playing coach potatoes :) Connor will sit with him until
they both start to get warm...he definitely takes after his dad. Ryan could wear
shorts all year around and never be cold. Well at least I know if Connor is a little fussy, I just
go outside and cool him down. It is so awesome to learn about their little quirks.. Life is good :)

We have been really busy for the past two months... Here is a sneak peek at the outfit Connor had
on for his Christmas pics... Pretty cute huh?... Even if some people don't think too highly
of this outfit... You know who you are.

Cheese!... Well here is just a few pics from Turkey Day... I will post A LOT more after the holidays
I think we have been to 2 work parties, Birthday parties, Dinners, and
a few Holidays in between... We have really enjoyed spending time with our family and friends...
We are VERY BLESSED indeed...

Dan and Mel.... Aww... Cute huh? Thanks you two for all that you do for US!
We are thankful that you three are in our lives...

We heart each other...
I am so thankful for such an AMAZING family!! Ryan you are
the MOST INCREDIBLE husband and father... I
am so thankful for all the love and support that I get from you every single day. And Connor
you are the best gift EVER! Your dad and I love you so much and feel so fortunate
to have you in our lives... You are VERY special to us!

to be continued....

Connor's Blessing

We invited our families over to watch Connor's Baby Blessing. James, my brother in law, gave Connor's Blessing and did such a wonderful job. It actually brought tears to my eyes. We are so fortunate to have such loving relatives and friends. For the special occassion, we rented out our cludhouse to fit all of our guests. And after the blessing we ate delicious dishes that everyone brought.

It was good getting everyone together... It amazes me how fast Aiden, Tanner, Devon, and Avery
have grown...They are all such cuties!!! I love our FAMILY!

Some R&R

We had such a relaxing time up at the cabin...Ryan, Connor, and I drove up Friday night so we could wake up bright and early Saturday morning. The weather was so perfect all weekend! All we needed was our hoodies and if we got chilly we would just cuddle up next to the fire.

We got plenty of naps in over the weekend. When we weren't outside soaking up the sun and enjoying the quiet we would take quick cat naps in the chair next to the fire... I loved it. Spending quality time with my sweet husband and my precious Connor. Life doesn't get any better.....

I just love our little family. We just enjoy all the little moments that we share together and look forward to the memories that we will make in the future... I am so grateful for all of life's blessings the man upstairs has givin me. Thank you :)

HaLLoWeeN

This year we decided to go as farmers with our little prize winning pumpkin...Ryan even got overalls :) Friday night we went over to The Peacocks house for a fun night of activities. The kids decorated little pumpkins, we watched scary movies, danced around the house, and had such a fun time. It's so crazy to think we all have kids... Time goes by so fast.

A little bit of Lyn

Lyn came to visit us and stayed for over three weeks to help with Connor :) We had such a good time...We went to Gardner Village, she helped us with our garage sale, watched a movie with Ry's sisters, aunts, and Grandma Linda, we spent some time at the park, and she stayed with Connor and me while Ryan was elk hunting. It seems like every time Lyn comes to Utah we try to convince her to move here. She is such a fun person and we always enjoy her company. I know that the three of us would fly to Dallas in a heart beat to help Lyn move up here. I  think in a few years, our wish will come true :) At least I hope it does. I know that Connor and Avery would love spending more time with their Great Aunt Lyn.

We love you lots Lynnie Pooh!

My cup is full

Ryan has commented on my pictureless posts in the past and tells me that people want pictures, but this post is from the heart and I hope that you smile after reading this. I have been filled with so much graditude these past two months and my heart is full. I feel so much love from my family and friends that I just want to smile. Every day I wake up next to the love of my life... He is my rock and my better half. Ryan has been such a helpful husband, dad, friend, and so much more... I am so grateful for all the love that he has in his heart. He continues to impress me every single day...like suprising me with beautiful flowers before our special date, getting up with Connor in the middle of the night, and helping me with chores around the house. I know the man upstairs picked out Ryan just for me... he allowed our paths to cross and I found my soulmate. Gosh I'm the luckiest girl in the world!... Seriously. And now I am a mom.... It still feels like I am in a dream and I don't ever want to wake up... My life changed on September 6th and the man upstairs blessed me and Ryan with an angel. I'm sure I have written about my graditude in the past for these amazing people in my life, but I just want everyone to know how truly special they are. My little Connor now weighs 10lbs and growing every second. When he looks in our eyes, I see love and the beautiful miracle that we created. It is the coolest feeling in the world!... We love him sooo much! We couldn't imagine our lives without him. Our families and friends have been so generous and thoughtful. I can't go into detail with all of our helpful family members, but I will mention a few. Janine (Ry's mom) took a week off work to help me with Connor when I was on Maternity leave and I really enjoyed our little chats :) My mom came over and held my sweet boy while I documented milestones in his Baby Book. Aunt Lyn flew in from Dallas and was here for over 3 weeks to help me with our little guy. While Ry was walking through the woods hunting his elk, Lyn stayed with me. Our family is so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives... Thank you for always thinking of us and continuing to make us feel special.
When I was teenager, I lacked confidence and self esteem... I know it was a result from some instances in my past... I never thought I would marry my prince and live happily ever after. I didn't think I deserved to be happy and have life's blessings. I know you think I am crazy... I remember my family telling me that I deserved to have the good things in life. I am now in a completely dfferent place in my life and I know that God loves me. I wake up every day and look at my amazing husband and our sweet little guy. I am so thankful to be surrounded by a loving family and good friends.

Baby Boy

Carly (Katy's sister in law) did such a great job on Connor's newborn pics. If you need a talented photographer, I have the lady for you! He was 10 days old when she captured his precious face. You were so kind and patient with my little guy ... Carly thank you.

Hunting

Ok so for the last four years Ryan has packed his big camo bag, gathered his jackets, loaded his gun, and headed off to the woods to shoot "THE BIG ONE" Yes a 6-by-6 or higher. For those of you that have either been hunting with someone or has a spouse that enjoys it, you may not understand what I am talking about :) An ELK! I know that this is the year for Ryan. He has been talking about it for the past 11 months... I just enjoy watching him get so excited! I love it! Next year, I'm sure Connor and I will join him in the woods. We plan on getting a trailer in the future so we can all go as a family. It will be so neat to have Connor grow up camping, hunting, fishing, and etc... We are so excited :)

Motherhood

Motherhood is the most amazing experience... I love watching Connor grow, learn, and become a little man. It seems like every single day he is changing and I love it! I can't believe he weighs over 7 lbs 4 oz. And he has about 15 different facial expressions. It's fun to show our family and friends when they come over because it's pretty entertaining :) I look forward to teaching him new things, reading fun books, and taking him on fun adventures. Connor is such a blessing and he has already brought so much joy to our lives and I couldn't be more thankful. Thanks for coming into our lives my sweet boy....We love you.

Connor's First Outing

We decided to take our little man up to the mountains for his FIRST OUTING...
It was so beautiful...white clouds, high 70's, orange & red leaves, and The Peacocks :)
It was so nice because they had their trailer so we could keep Connor away from all the bugs.
And of course Connor's cute sweetie Bella was there to keep him company. It was so much fun and we look forward to next summer under the stars.

Two Week Appointment

I can't believe two weeks has already gone by... Connor is growing and changing every single day and we are enjoying every minute of it. It seems like he has milestones every minute... holding his head up, becoming more alert, recognizing the sounds of our voices, and so many more. We went to his two week appointment on Monday, September 20th (my original due date). Here are the updates...

Weight 7lbs 4oz
Height 21in
Eating 3oz every 3 hours

I love Motherhood and spending time with my little guy. We have been so lucky to watch our little man come into this world and we are looking forward to watching more milestones and making more memories. I love our little family and I feel so blessed to be loved by such amazing boys.

Happy Engagement Day!

Two years ago today, Ryan proposed over Park City in a hot air ballon and asked me to be his wife. It was one of the coolest experiences. This was the beginning of our future together and I was so excited for all the adventures life would bring us. I love Ryan and Connor so much and I feel so blessed to have them both in my life.

One week old and another Birthday

Snuggling up with Dad after his first bath... Ryan was a little nervous about Connor getting cold so I wasn't able to get a lot of pics of this milestone, but I definitely have the favs.

At the hospital, they told us that Connor's jaundice level was a 10 and we would have to come back and have him tested. On Friday, after getting his results back the his pediatrician called us and told us his level had increased to 15.8 and he would have to come back Saturday morning. The level didn't change from 15.8 after his second test so they decided to bring out a UV bed to our house. On Monday, after the last blood test he had, Dr. Roberts said that he didn't need the UV lights.

Ryan and I just hangin out with our little man... We love it when he holds on tight to our fingers. He is such a big boy and growing sooo fast!... I just wish I could stop time.

On Monday, September 13th, I turned 27!... Ryan gave me the most amazing gift in the whole world. Our little angel Connor is PERFECT in every way. Ryan took me to lunch that afternoon and then took me shopping to get some fun things, while Grandma York watched our lil guy at home. Then our friends Jill and Jodie stopped by with a delicious dinner for us. It was the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!

Connor's Birthday...

On Monday, September 6th at 12:47 a.m. I was awaken by some contractions... I told Ryan to start timing the contractions. They were about 1 minute long and three minutes apart. A few hours later the contractions began to get stronger and so I decided that we should "Make the trip".... We arrived at the hospital around a little after 5:00a.m. They decided that I wasn't dilated far enough to start labor, so they told us to start walking the halls. It was pretty nice because of Labor Day, there was no one there. We were the only ones walking the halls. It felt like we rented out the hospital for his special day. They had me walk till 8:30a.m.

Ryan actually took a short nap while I walked the last hour. It was such an amazing experience for Ryan and I! Well finally the nurse walked in with the doctor's finale decision.... "The doctor wants to go ahead and brake your water." We instantly became so excited that we would become parents in a few hours! So at 10:58a.m. the doctor came in and broke my water... I knew at this point our lil Connor was coming.

Since I was so tense from the contractions, I decided to take a bath in the jetted tub. Yes, there was a tub in my room and it was so relaxing. After the bath, I decided to walk a few laps just to speed up the process. Once I got back to the room, my contractions had become a lot more intense... I was dilated to a five and I couldn't focus because the pain was too intense. At 12:45 p.m. they inserted my epidural and once that started I became very relaxed. Time seemed to pass very quickly... And it was going so smoothly. Then the nurse walked in at 3:00pm and I was dilated to an 8 and 90% effaced. Then after about an hour, he began the descent. And then finally, the nurse came in and said I was dilated to a 10 and 100%...

"It's time to start pushing." And then doctor came in to confirm shortly after. Around 5:00p.m. I began pushing... an hour later.... Approximately at 6:09p.m. our lives changed. The most amazing miracle. They laid him across my chest and the tears ran down my cheeks. My heart just was filled with joy... our Connor was finally here.
