4 Months and Counting...

It is hard to believe that Connor turned 4 MONTHS OLD on January 6th!
My sweet little boy is growing up so fast! We went to his 4 month Wellness Checkup this past Tuesday!

His doctor said that he was....

44th Percentile for his weight

65th Percentile for his length

75th Percentile for his head circumference
(A BIG brain just like his Dad)

Weight 14lbs and 11oz

The doc also told me that we could start giving him SOLID foods! NO!... I was a little
sad at first :( No more bottles. I know that you want them to be happy
and healthy, but I still want him to be small. Before you know it, he will be walking!... It's all happening
too fast! Can someone make it stop?!

At 4 months
I am smiling at Mom and Dad all the time
I am beginning to pass a toy from one hand to the other
I can't keep my hands out of my mouth
I started eating cereal
I sleep through the night
I love being read too
I love my soft toy Moo and snuggling him close
I have found my toes
I still love looking at lights and mirrors
I love splashing in my whale tub
I can't stop giggling with Dad
I enjoy sitting up

And here we have the stare down.... This is one of many facial expressions that our little guy has. Everyday, Connor comes up with another one...Bath time. We can't help but to giggle when we look at those big green eyes and the never ending rolls. How many rolls do you see?

Connor LOVES his Dad!!! Every time Connor finds his dad in the room, his eyes light up
and a BIG smile appears across his chubby little face... I love capturing these moments! My mom always
told us "you're growing up too fast." And now I understand... We have enjoyed watching Connor
learn new things, grow, and play with US any chance we get. We love you sweet boy :)

We melt when he looks up at us with those BIG GREEN eyes...

Ryan and I have really enjoyed our little guy... He is such a blessing and we thank God
that he is all OURS. We have learned that being parents can
be a challenge, but every day we come closer and work as a team. The love that
we have for Connor and the love that we share as a couple
is such a BLESSING! I am so fortunate.

We LOVE you Connor!

A New Tradition

For those of you that have ever lived in the South, at some point in your life, I am sure you Mom
made you eat black eyed peas on New Year's Eve...
As a kid, I dreaded eating those yucky beans... My Mom would tell me every Eve
that they would bring me good luck for the upcoming year...
Honestly in the past few years, it hasn't really crossed my mind...seeing as how I don't really HAVE TO DO IT anymore, but this year I decided to bring my family tradition back.
I think it's important to mesh family traditions...especially ones from the South :) Ryan had NEVER heard about black eyed peas or eating them for good luck. This year, I baked
them in a crock pot with a ham bone donated from Ry's grandma Linda. They turned out pretty good and Ryan ate some with a BIG smile. The best part of this new York family
tradition is remembering my Grandma Beryl... As a kid, I remember sorting beans with her on
Sunday afternoons after church. We would spend a few hours going through and tossing "the bad beans" to the side. She would teach me about life lessons, while I sat across the table from her. And one lesson that I haven't forgot, was to always be honest with everyone.  I will always keep those memories close to my heart. I Love you Always and Forever Grandma

Christmas 2010

On Christmas Eve we went over to Paul and CarolAnn's house to have delicious dinner, read stories, sing songs, see Santa, and spend time with the family. It was nice because Lisa's
plane landed during the day, so she was able to join the festivities. And my Mom also joined
us that evening... We always get so spoiled every year. We are very blessed to have
such wonderful families....

On Christmas Day, I picked up my Mom at her house and brought her back to our house. Marvin and Janine were there, working on our yummy breakfast (Omelets and Scones) when we got back.
After filling our tummies with scones and honey, we gathered around the tree to open gifts... Ryan, Connor, and myself must have been good this year. We were spoiled once again... I always am filled with gratitude on this day. We are so fortunate to have so many amazing people in our lives.
This year we were blessed with a beautiful little boy and he is definitely the object of our affection.
Connor we are so thankful that you are all ours... We love you sweet boy.

This year, Lisa brought her boyfriend Issac, who flew into Salt Lake on Christmas Day. We had the pleasure of eating a delicious meal prepared by Isaac and Lisa. We had fish and pork
tacos with cabbage, rice, and yummy black beans. Isaac is a chef back in AZ and we were
pretty lucky to have him cook for us...It was quite the treat.

Having a large family is such a blessing...We are so lucky to have these amazing people in our lives
I was on the phone with my aunt Lyn the other day and I was expressing
how great it is to be surrounded by family. I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!... they mean THE WORLD to me and I thank God every day for these people in my life.

The Suggs came into town from California after Chritmas, to celebrate the holiday and also Glo's Birthday. Mia, Miley, and Levi have grown up sooo much!!! And it was pretty
apparant when we got a pic of all the kiddos on the couch... Time flys!!! We had such a blast
playing hand & foot into the wee hours of the night. I always look forward to those games
every year... Love you guys.
