He was a good boy this year...

Connor was such a good boy this year. Santa brought him a tool bench, cars, books, clothes, and fun stocking stuffers... It was so fun to watch our lil guy play with his toys. We were so blessed to
be able to share this joyful experience with him and our family.

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween we attended the annual Hofhein Halloween Party at Rick's house. This year Connor was Frankenstein, I was a witch, and Ryan was a hunter.

I loved Connor's costume this year! He made such a cute Frankenstein and loved seeing everyone in there costumes.

Happy Halloween from The Yorks!

We had so much fun this year with our lil guy...Besides going to the Hofhein Halloween party, I also took Connor to where I work to go trick or treating. He was a little nervous to pick out the candy at first, but eventually got the hang of it. It was so much fun!

Carving our pumpkins

 It has become our family tradition every year to carve pumpkins at our house the week before Halloween. It was a lot of fun this year to watch Connor man get into the spirit...
He loved playing with the pumpkin guts and seeds...He actually tried eating it a few times, but we told him it was Cah-Cah (and he knows what that means)

 My mother in law Janine brought over those battery operated candles to put in our pumpkins
 when we finished carving them. Connor was so fascinated by them that
he kept trying to grab them out of the pumpkin's mouth.

Trying to get a good family pic with lil man is a challenge at times...they never wanna
look at the camera when you want them too.

Baby Jack

 { Jack Bryan Pendleton }

We are so excited to have a new addition in our family. Katy delivered Mr. Jack via C-section on October 13th at 7:15am weighing 6 lbs 10 oz and 19 in long. I'm so excited that Connor man gets to teach Jack the ropes and I know that they will be best buds.

Welcome to the world Mr.Jack!
We love you so much!

It's time to hunt

Well it's that time of year again when the leaves are changing, the camo comes out, and Ryan heads out to get his elk. This year he has a spike tag (one spike on each side) and he is hunting in a different area than he normally hunts. He has put in alot of work this year. . . more than he usually does. He spent two weekends scouting in September. . . hoping to find one and maybe tie it to the tree before opening day. Hopefully I have some pics to post next weekend.

My Special Day

September 13, 2011

This year for my Birthday, Ryan had lots of fun surprises for me. He got me a point and shoot
camera and Connor got me a case. Ryan also took me out to dinner for sushi (my favorite) at Tsunami and it was delicious! I am so fortunate to have such an amazing loving husband and a
sweet little boy. I had such a great Birthday and I look forward to more in the future!

His 1st Party!

{The Cake}

Anyone that knows me, I go over the top when it comes to Birthdays and since my baby boy was turning 1, I wanted to make him feel extra special. My cousin Marisa gave me the idea to do a Camping themed party and I was all for it when I heard her idea... Ryan and I are avid campers. Connor has grown to love the hobby as much as his mom and dad. What better way to celebrate, by bringing out the lanterns, eating s'more pops, and doing a little fishing. Connor had such a good time and enjoyed seeing all of his family and friends. I'm so glad we could share this special day with our sweet lil guy!

Connor's 1st Birthday!!!

 Our lil guy turned the big #1 today and it was so fun to share his special day with him! Last night, I cleaned the house, baked his Birthday cake, and wrapped his gifts so we could surprise him in the morning. I was so excited I couldn't even sleep. The morning started off with Ryan and I waking up Connor so Ryan could see him before he left for work. It took Connor a little while to wake up and understand what was going on....
We took him downstairs and had him open one gift...I had his presents and cake on the dining table with balloons and Happy Birthday sign. Connor just looked with curiosity.

 We had Connor open a few gifts in the morning before Ryan left for work... We were planning on doing the cake and a few more presents after work. One thing that Connor really enjoys is books...So I decided to take him to the library for the first time. He loved it! He kept pulling all the books off the shelves and flipping through them. I plan on taking him back very soon...

After the park we came home so Connor could blow out his first candle and have some yummy cake. It has been such an amazing year... Our little guy has been such a blessing in our lives and we have enjoyed watching him grow, learn to talk, and greet us with a smile every morning!

Happy 1st Birthday Connor bug!!!
We love you so much!!

4th of July!

We had such a fun 4th!!! One of the things that we did is go to the West Jordan parade.... At first there was a few rain drops when we got to "our spot". The gray clouds hovered over us for a little while, but eventually the sun came out. It was nice spending time with Janine and the Llwellyns. It is tradition that we go to the parade every year...Ryan has been going since he was young and it was Connor's first year attending...He watched all the floats pass by and people watched like crazy.... We also went to Murray park to watch fireworks. I LOVE watching fireworks and I wanted to share the experience with Connor. At first, we were a little skeptical if he would cry because of the loud noise, but halfway through the show...I looked down and Connor has his hands over his ears just staring up. It was soooo stinkin cute!!! My little guy is so smart!! I love him so much! I am so grateful for this wonderful country we live in and I am proud to be an American!!! Hope you have a Happy 4th!!!

First Haircut

 { Tuesday, June 28, 2011}

We took Connor to Beesley's Barber Shop in Murray for his First Haircut. Arols has cut Ryan's grandfather, father, and Ryan's hair when was a baby. She actually gave Ryan his first haircut. And four generations later she is still cutting hair... crazy! She was really good with Connor...very patient and sweet. It only took her about 10 minutes to cut his hair and he cried the whole time. I thought it would be cool for Ryan told hold Connor while she did her magic. He finally stopped crying after she turned the trimmers off. Connor is definitely a mini me Ry... looks just like his dad now and I love it! Thanks Arlos for doing such a great job! Connor loves it!
