First Haircut

 { Tuesday, June 28, 2011}

We took Connor to Beesley's Barber Shop in Murray for his First Haircut. Arols has cut Ryan's grandfather, father, and Ryan's hair when was a baby. She actually gave Ryan his first haircut. And four generations later she is still cutting hair... crazy! She was really good with Connor...very patient and sweet. It only took her about 10 minutes to cut his hair and he cried the whole time. I thought it would be cool for Ryan told hold Connor while she did her magic. He finally stopped crying after she turned the trimmers off. Connor is definitely a mini me Ry... looks just like his dad now and I love it! Thanks Arlos for doing such a great job! Connor loves it!

Hogle Zoo

 While Lyn was visiting us this summer, we decided to take a trip to the Hogle Zoo. It was actually Connor's first time going and we went with Katy, Avery, Lyn, and Glo. It was pretty warm that day, but we stayed cool with the misters around the exhibits and lots of bottled water. Connor didn't really understand what was going on, but he did enjoy watching the elephants play in the water...He giggled so much as they splashed water out of their trunks and played in the pond. I am looking forward to taking him next summer when he can really enjoy watching all the animals. Overall it was good to spend quality time with my aunts and sis. I love my family so much and I'm so grateful that they are in my life!

Play date!

 Meeting for the first time

I never thought the day would come... My good friend Maybelline (old co-worker at SH) finally brought Micah over to play with Connor! When Micah was still in his mommy's belly, he actually met Connor for the first time. I was pregnant around the same time as May and the boys are actually 12 days apart... So crazy! There was actually 5 of us that worked together that were expecting around the same time . Kinda funny... We would all waddle around the halls.

It was such a pleasure to finally watch our lil guys play together. Even though their bedtime was at 8, they played till 10! We barbqued some chicken, talked about future plans, and sat in the backyard while the munchkins played. It was such a beautiful night and the weather was perfect. Unfortunately, the Mccoys have recently moved, so it will be awhile before these two get together for another play date. I will always treasure these moments because it's not every day, you get to spend quality time with good friends... Hopefully we will see them soon.

Father's Day

 {June 19,2011}

This year for Father's Day Ryan was surprised with a Scrapbook that I made. I wanted Ryan to know how much Connor and I mean to him...He is such an amazing father. Everyday Ryan rushes in to see his little guy in the mornings, wrestles with him, changes messy diapers, and reads bedtime stories in the evenings. Connor loves his da da so much and always lights up when he walks into the room. We are both so fortunate and blessed to have Ryan in our lives.

In the morning, we took Dan to breakfast at CJ's. It was nice to catch up and spend time with him...Then later that day, we went over to Ry's parents house to surprise them with gifts. We gave Marv a photo album with pics from Arizona. And Ryan got some keen water shoes from his parents. And later in the afternoon, we went over to Paul and Carol Ann's for a BBQ. After our visit with them, we went over to Ry's grandparents house. There are so many wonderful fathers in my family and I am so lucky to have them in my life. It was such a great day spent with some pretty amazing dads!

Family Reunion in Dallas!

All the family in front of Lyn's house in Dallas, TX

We had such a good time in Dallas!... We arrived at DFW on Wednesday, June 8 and we were there until Tuesday, June 14th. The evening that we arrived, we went to the Rangers game. It was the Pendeltons and us minus our kiddos. We sat on the first row in the out field. There was 40,000 people at the Arlington Ball Park that night. We had a really food time, considering it was me and Ryan's first time at a Ranger game. While we were there, my Aunt Lyn had a Baby Shower for Michelle her daughter in law. It turned out really nice.... She got a lot of good stuff for her sweet little girl. We can't wait to meet her. On Saturday, we got together for the reunion... It was such an awesome turnout! Over 50 people showed and the food was delicious...that yummy Texas bbq. It was pretty warm that day, but we all managed. Thanks to Ryan and James who went to rent some industrial fans for the event...We survived We also spent a lot of time in the pool at the Pendelton and Miley hotels...swimming was a must with that heat! :) While we were there, I was able to visit with some girlfriends of mine. It was so good to catch up with Jennifer (friend since 1st grade) and also Ana (best friend from high school) I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life! It was a great opportunity to go to Texas and I will  always treasure the memories.
